Pipeline is an artist-led space working with early career creatives, to create opportunities and bridge the gap between students, graduates and those with successful, sustained careers in the arts.

We aim to start conversations and find solutions around accessibility, education and careers for artists. While also supporting contemporary and critical discourses in Gloucester. 

Currently based in Gloucestershire working in residence at 160 on barton premises within The Picturedrome.

In Cold Aire

I caught the tail end of the 7 minutes. In the moments before the noise cancels out, the finally whirring. The not life. 

--

Clenched in a jaw my tongue has not yet familiarised itself with. Tracing inflammation in circles and learning the groves of its murderous teeth. Its saliva feels displaced, as if left stagnant and dwelling, slick on its surface accumulating debris.  I hum to fill the air. Now viscous and slimed, air that was once intoxicatingly yours, rises and falls with my chest. Venomous it cycles in and out. AgeAgingingAginging faultlessly, it sticks to this calloused throat.  Congealed, moulded and dried, it's near pneumonic. 

The mouth I sit in is hostile and damp. It is a mouth I will continue to exist in until I find the words to thank you.
